I thought it was a little smoky so I had to keep going outside as it was making my eyes water but looking around this could’ve just affected me. I know the kitchen didn’t have a door so maybe they could ventilate the kitchen more so it didn’t go out into the dining area. Thank you for such a wonderful evening, we can’t wait to go back again! ”

“ Quality and taste of the food at this restaurant is exceptional. We had the chili prawns then a fish to share with samphire, cabbage and the potatoes. Wow, what a great meal. Love the fishmonger too, it is expensive but you know you’re getting great quality and sustainably sourced fish. ”

“ Fancy some real fresh seafood without having to drive all the way to Dover or Folkestone? Look no further! Must try grilled tiger prawns, scallops and their octopus! Lobsters are very fresh and they also have a fish monger counter! We did order a little bit too much but it's rather hard make a choice! The only little letdown are their side dishes, the lettuce was too overgrilled, broccoli bit too oily and triple cooked chips was lacking some taste. But otherwise well done on the small dishes especially! Oh and as there isn't a door between kitchen and restaurant, it does tend to get a little bit 'smelly' so make sure you don't wear your most expensive outfit! Super friendly staff and owner, too! ”

New life has been breathed into this local favourite which has undergone an incredible refurbishment that’s truly elevated the dining experience. From the moment you walk in, it’s clear that every detail has been carefully thought out. The modern tonal decor creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels both luxurious and inviting with clever lighting that creates intimate table settings—perfect for a casual meal or a special night out. We sat at the newly created bar, the perfect vantage point to watch the comings and goings and enjoy one of the new cocktails on offer.... The food, of course, is the star of the show. The seafood is impeccably fresh and expertly prepared. The flexible menu offers inventive small plates or larger plates for the more traditional OR a mixture of both to share it’s all delicious. The flavours are vibrant, and the presentation is beautiful. And the long standing team are LOVELY! Hardworking, friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do - the restaurant was packed on the night that we visited and the service remained smooth and unruffled. “ My dad took me to fish union the other day for some dinner and it was lovely!! To start with, the restaurant itself is gorgeous and also very well laid out. The staff are all extremely polite, friendly and professional. I had ordered the chilli tiger prawns and my dad ordered the burrata with nduja and both were amazing and super flavourful. I had also ordered the salmon and scallops for my main with a portion of ‘our chips’ and they were both extremely nice!! I would definitely recommend this place, 10/10 :) ”

“ We throughly enjoyed everything about our evening at Fish Union last week. The seafood was some of the tastiest and well cooked I’ve ever had. The young girls who served us were very lovely, professional and thorough. Our favourites were definitely the Octopus and Seafood Bouillabaisse, everything was fresh, tasty & cooked to perfection. Only pointer would be that for the price, the prawns could be served as 4 instead of 3, since it is likely people will be sharing these small plates. Can’t wait to return! ”

The prawns were so fresh they practically popped in your mouth, and the lobster was cooked to perfection—succulent and full of flavour. The wine selection paired wonderfully with the meal, and the restaurant had a great vibe with a warm, lively atmosphere. A true gem for seafood lovers. Can’t wait to come back! ”

“ We fancied a seafood lunch so looked up google to see what tickled our fancy. I found this restaurant and thought why not?! The restaurant itself was quite small with a fresh fish counter on display for those who wanted to buy fish/seafood to cook at home. We ordered from the lunch set menu and found it great value. The quality of food was amazing. Everything tasted so fresh and was seasoned so well. Delicious! The bread which came with the mussels was so good alas I was so full that sadly I couldn't finish it! Even though it was just a quick small lunch.. it was possibly one of the best seafood meals I've had (even compared to some of the big names J sheekeys, Scotts, Riddle and Finn, Bentleys, Wright Bros...to name a few!). It was very very agreeable. Pure tasty food with lovely professional yet non pretentious service. We bought a bream from the fish counter to take home for the children's dinner. ...I can confirm that they loved it! The restaurant is not near to where we live but we will definitely be back again!!! ”
